CERTIFICATE OF COMPUTERISED ACCOUNTING IN TALLY. ERP9 – DURATION: 50 Hrs

Our department has started this course since 2014 with an orientation during the month of July for the second year students from various departments (HISTORY, BOTANY, B.COM, BCA, ENGLISH LITERATURE, and MATHEMATICS) on Tally ERP9, Tally Prime coaching classes. During the odd semester, students are enrolled for the course. This course has made a remarkable success in the year 2016 onwards. The students enrolment had increased gradually from 50 – 110 now. Recently the awareness on Tally course had reached outsiders (General public) and at present Batch – wise classes are ongoing . The topics covered under the course were as follows:

During the Even semester our Economics students were included for the course. At the end of the program, all the students were awarded with ADVANCED TALLY ERP9 Certificate from the Zenith Career wings, Coimbatore.

Our department started the course with an orientation during 2014 with 80 students on regular basis. Maruti School of Banking, Coimbatore continues training the students for the following topics:

- Current Affairs

EDP Cell was launched during 15 th October 2016, for all the third year students inside the campus. Students enrolled have increased from 20- 50 numbers at present. Initially we started the course with a certificate from PRIYADHARSHINI ARTS & CRAFTS INSTITUTE, COIMBATORE & PROVIDENCE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, COONOOR.

- Muffins
- Jam making
- Aroma candle making
- Mushroom Cultivation

- Phenyl-making
Dr.Leema De Rose, Associate professor in Botany, Providence college for women assisted to teach cake baking (chocolate cake & carrot cakes) and different varieties of cookies to the students during January 2017.
From 2018 onwards, Mrs.Gowri, Proprietor, Hasthakala Varnalaya, Udumalpet, conducts the EDP classes for the students and a certificate is given to all the students enrolled after the course completion.
Students are also taken for an industrial visit twice during the academic year.

Neuro Linguistic Programme was started from June 2016. This programme is conducted by Mr.Madhu SathyaNarayana Rao, Virtual Mentor, Bangalore. This soft skill training is given to our students to enrich their personality development. The important topics dealt in the classes are as follows:

- Interview technique (Crash interview)
An advanced level course is also conducted for the student and certificates is issued.

Communicative English class was started from June 2016. In order to give our students to learn spoken English, we help them to retain their mind and tongue simultaneously. So that the students learn to speak fluently and quickly. The following topics are taught:
- Conversation in Different Situations
- Review on Above Situations
- Useful Phrases for Conversation and Model Conversation in Day to Day Life
- Simple Grammar
- Revision in Grammar
- Telephonic Conversation
Vedhic maths is taught for our students to improve their calculative skill and memory skill. This will also be useful for our students to attend all competitive examinations.
